Mina Rai

BS(Psych), MPsych, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Mina Rai is a Registered Psychotherapist and internationally trained Clinical Psychologist with a distinguished background in mental health care and clinical leadership. She holds advanced degrees in psychology and psychotherapy from esteemed institutions in Europe and North America, reflecting her dedication to academic excellence and professional growth. Her career spans hospitals, mental health clinics, and community programs, where she has worked extensively with individuals from diverse cultural and clinical backgrounds. These experiences have shaped her understanding of mental health as a complex and dynamic process influenced by personal history, social context, and biological factors.

In her psychotherapy practice, Mina supports clients facing a wide range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, relationship challenges, eating and feeding disorders, and psychological factors that impact digestive health. She uses an integrative approach that draws from psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and family systems theory. Mina also incorporates specialized techniques that address the mind–gut connection, offering a holistic perspective on emotional and physical well-being. Her treatment plans are highly individualized and developed collaboratively with clients to ensure therapy is effective, meaningful, and aligned with their unique needs.

Mina’s expertise extends beyond clinical care. As owner, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Operations at Canadian Place Endoscopy Clinic, she oversees clinical programs, enhances patient experience, and ensures regulatory compliance while leading multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Her leadership promotes high standards of care, streamlined workflows, and integration of mental and physical health services. She has developed assessment and scoring tools used in staff selection and professional development, contributing to a structured approach to quality improvement in healthcare delivery. These initiatives reflect her ability to combine clinical insight with strategic leadership to build systems that prioritize patient safety and excellence.

Driven by her passion for mental health, Mina Rai founded one more clinic, the Canadian Place Endo&Mind Clinic - a therapeutic space rooted in compassion, safety, and respect. Her multicultural background and international training enable her to appreciate diverse perspectives and deliver culturally sensitive care that honours each client’s lived experience. She has a particular interest in the connection between emotional well-being and digestive health, advocating for an integrative model that addresses both psychological and physiological aspects. This philosophy reflects her belief that mental health is inseparable from overall wellness.

Outside of her professional work, Mina values family life and creative expression. As a proud mother, she understands the importance of emotional resilience and balance in everyday life. She enjoys painting, dancing, and spending time with her family—interests that also shape her therapeutic outlook. She believes that self- expression and meaningful connection are essential components of healing and encourages clients to explore these areas as part of their personal growth.

Mina is committed to helping clients find clarity, stability, and lasting change. She sees progress as a journey that begins with a single supportive conversation and grows through consistent, compassionate care. Her goal is to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel seen, empowered, and equipped to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.
